Dear Neighbours,
It’s been a beautiful week in Brampton South, and I hope you've been able to safely enjoy the warm weather.
This week our government announced $19 billion in federal investments, to help provinces and territories restart the economy over the next six to eight months.
It will support measures in Brampton South to increase testing and contact tracing of the virus to protect Canadians from a future outbreak and support the capacity of our health care systems, including services for people facing mental health challenges. It will also assist with the procurement of personal protective equipment to help our essential workers, and in protecting the most vulnerable, like our seniors. This is great news for Bramptonians and a significant step in the right direction.
Don’t forget to wear your non-medical mask when you’re out shopping or any place it might be difficult to physically distance yourself from others. The Region of Peel is opening a new mobile COVID-19 testing site in our community on Wednesday, July 22. If you’d like a COVID-19 test, visit the site at Brampton’s Curling Club, located at 46 McMurchy Ave. South from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. For more information, visit: https://peelregion.ca/coronavirus/testing/
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have taken your feedback and we have adjusted our response as necessary. As always, my office and I are here to help with any questions or feedback and can be reached by phone at 905-846-0076 or by email at [email protected].
Stay safe,
Sonia Sidhu, M.P. Brampton South.
