“Federal government sits down with provinces to Strengthen Canada’s Economy and Expand Trade” – Sonia Sidhu

Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney finished meeting with Canada’s premiers in Saskatoon to break down interprovincial trade barriers and fast-track nation-building projects. These steps will enhance Canada’s economic strength and global competitiveness, ensuring businesses, workers, and industries can operate more seamlessly across provincial lines.

"Canada is taking bold action to fuel economic growth, create jobs, and position our nation as a global energy superpower," said MP Sidhu. "Reducing trade barriers and streamlining project approvals will unlock new opportunities for communities like Brampton while strengthening our country’s position in the G7 economy."

The federal and provincial collaboration aims to make it easier for Canadian businesses to expand and innovate, driving investment while ensuring vital infrastructure projects move forward efficiently.

MP Sidhu remains committed to advocating for policies that empower Canadian workers, businesses, and industries, reinforcing Canada’s leadership in the global economy.
