Inter-University Health Data & AI Conference held at the University of Toronto. As one of the keynote speakers at Eastern Canada’s largest student-led health AI conference, Sidhu
addressed a full house of over 300 students and emerging thinkers passionate about the future of healthcare innovation.
Joined on stage by industry leader Michael Duong, Head of Innovation at Hoffmann-La Roche, Sidhu underscored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to help Canadians age
powerfully and lead healthier lives. She emphasized the importance of embracing AI within public health and policy frameworks to deliver smarter, more equitable services for all
Canadians.
Reflecting the spirit of Prime Minister Carney’s commitment to digital leadership, Sidhu called on Canada’s youth to help shape a future where responsible AI innovation drives global progress in
health. “Canada’s strength lies in its young leaders—visionaries who aren’t just coding, they’re reimagining care systems,” said Sidhu.Sidhu extended her gratitude to the STEM Fellowship for organizing the landmark event and praised students for their leadership in using technology to improve lives. Her remarks sparked
