Brampton – Sonia Sidhu, MP for Brampton South, joined participants from across the Peel region for the Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes this past Sunday. She attended the event to show her support for diabetes research and fundraising efforts, and cut the ribbon to officially launch the event.
“I commend the work of the JDRF in raising funds and awareness for this important issue, and look forward to being one step closer to a cure for diabetes,” said MP Sidhu.
The Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes is a collective rally that brings together thousands of people whose lives are touched by T1D every day, who are tired of the hardship of this disease, who want to be heard, raise money and change the face of T1D forever.
