Ottawa – Sonia Sidhu, Member of Parliament from Brampton South, raised her concern about Coronavirus and the shortage of healthcare services in Brampton.
MP Brampton South asked questions to Dr. Eileen de Villa, Medical Officer of Health – City of Toronto about the current health care services situation of Brampton at the Standing Committee on Health.
“Brampton has recently declared a healthcare emergency. Our only hospital is functioning at more than capacity, while the risk to Canadians from coronavirus remains low, is there any plan in a place if any outbreak happens?” questioned Sonia Sidhu.
Responding to the questions, Dr. Eileen de Villa acknowledged the problem of the healthcare services shortage in Brampton.
Speaking further, she informed that she is having important conversations with the authorities in this regard. She assured that the Toronto city is ready to tackle the medical emergency if there will be any.
