September 23, 2024;    Brampton, Ontario

As of now, more than 750,000 Canadians have received care thanks to our Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).  The opposition party, Conservatives wants to CUT dental coverage for each and every one Canadian who has received care under Dental Care plan.

Through CDCP, we are now pleased to share that almost 4900 residents from Brampton South are enrolled applicants who will receive the necessary dental care they deserve and were not able to afford prior to the launch of this program. .

“This is going to help make life better for Canadians, so they won’t have to choose between paying their bills and getting dental care.” Said Member of Parliament for Brampton South, Sonia Sidhu.

The Liberal federal government is focused on the success of this program and expanding this program for Canadians who are eligible for affordable dental care.  The Canadian Dental Care Plan will help up to 9 million Canadians who do not now have access to dental insurance but will get access to the oral health care they need.  We know that one in four Canadians were unable to visit an oral health professional because it was too expensive.

More than 2.4 million Canadians have signed up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Our government’s plan is already making dental care more accessible and affordable for close to 750,000 Canadians that have received care through the CDCP.   The Canadian Dental Care Plan now has more than 80% of active oral health providers participating in the program and delivering the essential care that Canadians need right across the country.
