News Release – Brampton, Ontario
To kick off National Youth Week, today MP Sonia Sidhu joined her municipal and provincial counterparts to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Susan Fennell Youth Hub at the Susan Fennell Recreation Complex in Brampton South.
The Susan Fennell Youth Hub will provide young people in Brampton with a safe and accessible space to connect, learn, and grow. The facility will offer access to resources, programs, and services designed to help youth achieve their goals and reach their full potential. The federal government provided $565,000 in funding to support the creation of the Susan Fennell Youth Hub. In addition, $15.7 million in funding was provided for energy-efficient retrofits to the Susan Fennell Sportsplex.
“This fantastic new youth center is a testament to the dedication and vision of our community leaders who understand the critical role that our youth play in building a strong, vibrant, and prosperous future for our city,” said MP Sidhu.
"I want to thank the youth of Brampton for inspiring us with your energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. You are the driving force behind this project, and we are committed to supporting you as you pursue your dreams and build a bright future for yourselves and our community," she added.
The Susan Fennell Youth Hub is a valuable addition to Brampton's community and cultural infrastructure. By investing in projects like this, we are building more livable and connected communities and supporting the success of future generations.
